Does it work for trick or treating?
Yes — print the board as a card for the kids and let the adults claim the photo version on the walk round.
Photos in the dark?
Squares are claimed with whatever the camera gives you, and half the fun is the terrible flash photo. The iOS app handles low light better than a browser.
Can we run a costume contest on it?
Use “Best costume in the room” as a square — everyone's claim is a vote with evidence, and the leaderboard settles it.
Sixteen or twenty-five squares?
Sixteen for a house party, twenty-five if it runs from trick or treating through to the club.
